Thanksgiving Traffic

Thanksgiving is a time to spend with family and friends.  That means many more people/cars on the road.  Combine that with generally less that perfect weather conditions and it makes for one of the more dangerous travel periods of the year.  To make sure your holiday travel is safe follow these tips:  Give yourself extra time to get to where your going.  Follow the speed limits. Increase your following distance to 5 or 6 seconds. Make sure your vehicle is "road ready".  That means good tires, snow chains, extra water for you to drink, blankets, flashlights and road flares in the car.  These few tips can make a big difference in the safety and enjoyment level of your Holiday.

Deschutes Driver Education wishes you a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.
